Benefiting Charity - North Shore Hospice through Lions Gate Hospital Foundatio
Dear Jenny,
On behalf of the patients and visitors to the North Shore Hospice, the physicians and nursing team, I extend our sincerest gratitude to you and the Journeys With Heart Board for selecting the North Shore Hospice as the beneficiary of the proceeds from the Spain and Portugal 2015 tour.
Following discussion with the Hospice team, we have identified that one of the highest priorities for the Hospice is improvements to the Healing Garden. The Hospice's Healing Garden is enjoyed year round by residents and visitors and is carefully maintained by a team of talented volunteer master gardeners. The Journeys With Heart contribution will allow the gardeners to do a thorough replanting of some areas of the garden that have lost plants since opening in 2010, as well as to purchase a bird bath to be installed near the celebration wall; this would not only be a beautiful addition to the Garden, but will also provide an opportunity to place a recognition plaque on the bird bath acknowledging Journeys With Heart.
