MILAN

Fashion, design and taste: classic and modern architecture in a true capital of style.

Milan, Lombard capital that stupefies for the emotions only it can offer, is a culture, modern, and lively city that is rich in beauty and artistic masterpieces. https://www.italia.it/en/milan
It’s a modern, cosmopolitan city, at the same time rich in historical evidence and places of art: its amazing Cathedral, the symbol of the city, the Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio, the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie that contains The Last Supper, the well-known masterpiece by Leonardo Da Vinci, and its museums, among which stand out the Brera Art Gallery, the Museum of the XX Century and the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana. Just one hour by car from downtown Milan, well worth a visit are Pavia, with the Visconti Castle, the Cathedral, the Ponte Coperto and the Certosa, and Bergamo, with its medieval center lying on the hills and embraced by the Venetian walls (also a UNESCO World Heritage Site).

VERONA

It is the quintessential “city of love”, but offers much more than the myth of Romeo and Juliet: starting from its city center overflowing with art and archaeological sites, such as the Arena, the unmistakable symbol of the city, the Roman theatre and the walls, the Scaliger-dynasty squares and palaces. A cultural tour of Verona cannot but have a stop in Vicenza, UNESCO Heritage site thanks to the valued works by Palladio, in Padua, among medieval towers, noble squares and museums (first of all the Scrovegni Chapel frescoed by Giotto), and Mantua, art city linked to the legacy of the Gonzaga family, one of the best examples of Italian Renaissance. https://www.veneto.eu/EN/newHome/

CORTINA D’AMPEZZO/DOLOMITES

A journey discovering the Queen of the Dolomites with skiing, sport, social life and superb cuisine.

Cortina d'Ampezzo sits in the heart of the Veneto Dolomites, in an ample valley surrounded by high peaks, and is one of the most famous mountain localities in the world.

Host of the 1956 Winter Olympic Games and defined solely in the terms of chic and ski, Cortina is a glitzy, glam symbol both on the Italian and international scenes; Cortina has always been a top destination for mountain and nature enthusiasts, as well as those in search of winter sport activity and, in general, fun.

Defined by Le Corbusier as 'the finest work of architecture in the world' - a paradise for lovers of nature, mountains and sport.

The Dolomites constitute the eastern part of the Alpine Mountain Range, and are one of the 58 Italian sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The zone recognized as composing UNESCO covers 141,903 hectares and three regions (Trentino Alto Adige, Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia) and five provinces (Trento, Bolzano, Belluno, Pordenone and Udine); it also includes 18 peaks that rise over 3,000 meters (9,843 feet).

Dolomites, Italy: Tirolean Culture and Alpine Adventures - Rick Steves’ Europe Travel Guide
The Dolomites, Italy's dramatic rocky rooftop, offer some of the best mountain thrills in Europe. Here, the region's Austrian history survives in a warm, blue-aproned, felt-hat-with-feathers way. The Tirolean village of Kastelruth is a good home base for your exploration of the Alpe di Siusi, Europe's largest alpine meadow

Unique and captivating, with channels that continually change a scenario unlike any other in the world.

VENICE

Elegant, inimitable, exciting and romantic, precious: this is Venice, the gem on any tour of Italy where churches, palazzi, ancient bridges, monuments and piazzas confirm its artistic and cultural vitality. All has testified to and continues to testify to the long history of the city.

Millennial capital of the Republic of Venice, unanimously recognized as one of the most romantic cities in the world, the “Serenissima” boasts an extraordinary historical center, UNESCO World Heritage site together with its lagoon. Many are the opportunities to feed your hunger for culture, starting from St Mark's Square with the St Mark's Basilica, the Bell Tower and the Doge's Palace, without neglecting the churches of Santa Maria della Salute, Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, the synagogues of the Jewish ghetto, the many beautiful palaces overlooking canals, campi (the local squares) and calli (the streets) and the extensive network of the Civic Museums (among which, in addition to the Doge's Palace, also the Museo Correr, Ca’ Rezzonico, Ca’ Pesaro and Palazzo Mocenigo).

LAKE GARDA

Tempt your palate and pamper your spirit, alongside culture and sport.

Imposing, beguiling and unexpected: Lake Garda has so many different aspects when looking out over its waters from Gardone Riviera or Sirmione, Peschiera or Riva del Garda. Peaks and valleys define its perimeter, small towns on its shores interrupt the expanse of lush vegetation characterizing the area. In short, staying at Lake Garda will certainly ensure inspiration, relaxation and well-being. You will come across echoes of history, magnificent castles and delightful villas in perfect symbiosis with the contemporary world, interpreted in a thousand ways and even celebrated at table serving excellent local produce. Oil, wine and citrus fruit: here are some of the treasures of this part of Italy. It's up to you to discover all the others...

Lake Garda | Italy | Cinematic Travel Video (4K)
This was my trip to the Northern part of Lake Garda in Italy. In this cinematic travel video you can see Toscolano Maderno, Limone Sul Garda, Riva Del Garda and Malcesine. I also visited the waterfall called Cascata d'Ampola and the church Santuario Madonna Della Corona. I did two hikes, one to Cima Larici in the north west of the lake and to Monte Baldo.

LAKE COMO

Elegance, slowness and good living: this has always made the whole of Lake Como a destination for refined travellers. With or without Oscars™.

While, in the past, it was Italian literature - thanks to Alessandro Manzoni and his novel The Betrothed - that made Lake Como more widely known, more recently cinema has prompted new and unexpected promotion. The shores of the lake - or some of its “branches” if you prefer - were the setting for scenes in blockbusters “Star Wars | Attack of the Clones' and '007 Casino Royale'... to mention but two. That might seem to be more than enough. Yet it was George Clooney, after choosing Villa Oleandra (Laglio) as his favourite residence, who today turned Lake Como into a dream destination for travellers from all latitudes. In our own small way, in Italy, we have always loved the hills and mountains that, in an almost geometric game, embrace the waters of this blue pearl. Just like the products that this evocative corner of northern Italy offers with such great generosity. And lastly, people who enjoy active holidays - blending water, land and sky - will find endless proposals or opportunities around Lake Como to try their hand at their favourite sports. Or perhaps even learn new ones.

This video is fully dedicated to beautiful Lake Como, but you can check out 'Italy Best Lakes' video (link below) and decide for yourself which one will make it on your next holiday list.

LAKE MAGGIORE

A jewel of nature, art and history, losing your way in beautiful villages, islands and castles.

Lake Maggiore is one of the most beautiful Italian lakes and has enchanted the great Italian and foreign artists who have stayed here. It is believed to be the largest of the pre-Alpine lakes, hence the name 'Maggiore', it is of glacial origin and its banks are in Lombardy, Piedmont and Switzerland. Surrounded by mountains and hills that shelter it from the cold northern winds, the lake has the Ticino River among its tributaries, a historic water route connecting the Po Valley to Central Europe.
